This past summer Katie studied abroad in Copenhagen, Denmark, where she completed a Furniture Design Studio and learned more about the Scandinavian design language. Recently, she had the incredible opportunity to study abroad in Rome, where she gained a deeper appreciation for historical architecture and diverse design styles. BURTON BRANDT
Burton Brandt is a third-year Interior Architecture and Design student from St. Louis, Missouri. She is involved on campus through the Fay Jones Build Lab, Course Assistant for Architectural Materials and through the chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers. This past summer Burton studied abroad in Copenhagen, Denmark, where she studied urban design in the city of Copenhagen and Stokholm, in pursuit of understanding and redesigning a street in hopes of learning about the environmental and community values of Scandinavia. Through this process Burton found her admiration for adaptive reuse through sustainable and environmentally forward design. She is also passionate about adaptive reuse and the human environment. She is currently seeking an internship for the upcoming summer and is interested in residential and hospitality design.

BLAKELY BRIGHTON
Blakely Brighton, a third-year Interior Architecture and Design student from Little Rock, Arkansas, is pursuing her bachelor's degree in Interior Architecture and Design at the Fay Jones School of Architecture and Design. She expanded her design perspective through a summer abroad at LCI Barcelona, where she explored art and fashion, experiences that have contributed significantly to her design career. Passionate about various creative outlets, Blakely enjoys painting, sketching, and upcycling, and selling her artwork when not in the studio. She is an active member of the ASID Student Chapter and plans to intern in the summer of 2025 to broaden her skills and knowledge. Set to graduate in May 2026, Blakely aims to launch her career with interests in both residential and commercial design.

Parker Brobston is a dedicated and hard-working third-year student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Interior Architecture and Design with Honors. Emmalyn Burns is a third-year student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Interior Architecture and Design at the University of Arkansas. Originally from Benton, Louisiana, she is passionate about user-centered design and creating spaces that are accessible and impactful for all. Emmalyn serves as the President-Elect of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) student chapter and is a member of Phi Mu, Alpha Beta chapter. This past summer, she studied abroad in Rome, Italy, where she explored the blend of modern and ancient architecture and interior styles, which further fueled her passion in Interior Architecture and Design. Claire Callaway is a third-year honors student studying Interior Architecture and Design at the Fay Jones School of Architecture and Design. She is also pursuing a minor in Hospitality Management. Originally from Austin, Texas, Claire is passionate about expanding her design knowledge and exploring new creative opportunities. Outside of her academic work, Claire is an active member of her sorority, Delta Delta Delta, where she has taken on roles as T-Shirt Chair and Banner Chair, further developing her design skills. In the summer of 2024, Claire spent five weeks studying abroad in Rome, Italy, where she immersed herself in design and architectural history. She plans to intern with a design firm in the summer of 2025 to gain hands-on experience in the industry. Claire is particularly interested in commercial design, with a focus on retail, hospitality, and workplace, though she remains open to exploring a wide range of design fields.

Sofia Chiartosini is a third-year Interior Architecture and Design student from Rome, Italy, who has been living in Arkansas since 2019, initially arriving as an exchange student. Her design philosophy embraces the beauty of imperfection to craft moody, evocative spaces that resonate with authenticity. Sofia’s life saying is to never stay too comfortable— she believes in challenging herself and stepping outside her comfort zone as soon as it is formed. Brennah Clubine is a third-year student at the University of Arkansas. She is pursuing her major in Interior Architecture and Design at the Fay Jones School of Architecture and Design and a double minor at the Sam M. Walton College of Business. Her minors are Business management and Innovation and Entrepreneurship. She would like to open her own firm later on in her lifetime and have the business background for her firm. Riley Cook is a third-year honors student with a passion for experiential and human-centered design. AMANDA CROW
Amanda Crow is a fourth-year Interior Architecture and Design student from Houston,
Texas. She is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design at the Fay Jones School of
Architecture and Design at the University of Arkansas, and is an active member of the student
chapter of ASID. She is passionate about design and human interaction with space. Amanda
started her love for design through taking design classes and competing nationally in her
high school years. Amanda has completed an internship at Plan-it-Design in Cypress Texas, the summer of 2021. The summer of 2023 she spent 5 weeks studying abroad, where she was able to fully immerse herself in the old Roman history and designs. Amanda has a passion for
creating spaces that make people feel excited yet comfortable, specifically commercial, retail, and sports related designs. Amanda is on-track to graduate in May of 2024 and looks forward to diving right into the real world of design.

Kenleigh Embrey is in her third-year of pursuing her Interior Architecture and Design degree at the University of Arkansas. Halley Garcia is a third-year honors student at the University of Arkansas interested in innovative and experiential design. She is pursuing a Bachelor's of Interior Architecture & Design with a minor in Event Management. Originally from Kansas City, she has over two years of intern experience from Benson Method, LLC. This internship allowed Halley to apply her studies to healthcare and hospitality design projects. SAVANNAH GOODWIN
Savannah is a 3rd Year Student from Little Rock, Arkansas studying as an Interior Architecture and Design student at the Fay Jones School of Architecture and Design. Savannah also has two minors, one in Finance and one in Marketing. After working as an intern for ImageWorks Commercial Interiors for a year, Savannah is drawn to the commercial design industry. Camilla Green is an aspiring Interior Architect and Preservationist in her third-year at the University of Arkansas working towards a bachelor's degree in Interior Architecture and Design with a minor in History of Architecture. Camilla is from the small town of Pangburn Arkansas, and is also a first-generation college student. She is a student assistant in the Fay Jones School of Architecture and Design's Materials Library and the marketing chair for the University of Arkansas chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers in 2024. From Dallas, Texas, Gavin McWethy is a third year Interior Architecture and design student at the University of Arkansas. Gavin is involved in the student chapter of American Society of Interior Designers, as well as the University of Arkansas Fashion and Apparel board. In the summer of 2024, Gavin studied abroad in Barcelona, Spain, where he studied multidisciplinary design. OLIVIA PHELAN
Olivia Phelan is a third-year Interior Architecture and Design student at the University of Arkansas. She is a member of the ASID South Central Student Chapter and Chi Omega Psi Fraternity at the university. Olivia had the opportunity of taking an interior architecture and design studio abroad in June and July of 2024 in Copenhagen, Denmark. She intends to further her knowledge and gain experience in the field of commercial hospitality design in the summer of 2025 as an intern. She is also interested in low-income residential design. Olivia is from Little Rock, Arkansas and is anticipatory of experiencing the field outside of her home state. Her designs aim to communicate practicality and functionality without sacrificing aesthetics or overall quality. Olivia appreciates commercial hospitality design for the balance of structure and creativity it offers. She is interested in low-income residential design because she finds it important for all people to live in comfort without omitting certain qualities-of-life.

TAYLOR RICE
Third-year Interior Architecture and Design Student, Taylor Rice, comes from Austin, Texas to complete her bachelor’s degree. Merging her desire to create and bring comfort to others, Taylor strives to design and curate spaces that evoke inspiring emotions and elevate experiences. Impassioned by sustainability, authenticity, and attention to the history of a spaces drives her design choices. Beginning her interior design journey in high school, a strong passion to continue to learn more about the field remains. Involving herself in clubs including Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA), competing in the Interior Design STAR Competition, American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), and her sorority, Pi Beta Phi. She has plans to travel abroad to Copenhagen, Denmark this summer to study furniture design. Taylor is currently exploring opportunities for an internship for the upcoming summer after her abroad studies and forward.

MADILYN RILEY
Madilyn Riley is a third-year student pursuing a Bachelor of Interior Architecture and Design degree. Madilyn is from Rogers, Arkansas and is passionate about creating spaces that enhance human experience through the promotion of sustainability. Madilyn is highly involved in her sorority, Tri Delta, and holds a creative leadership position. This previous summer Madilyn studied interior design and historical architecture in Rome, Italy, where she immersed herself in Italian design principles and concepts. Lauren Romero is a third-year student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Interior Architecture and Design. Originally from Shreveport, LA, she is eager to expand her design knowledge. Lauren is passionate about adaptive reuse as well as human wellness related to design. Lauren participates in the student chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) as well as her sorority, Pi Beta Phi. This past summer, Lauren studied abroad in Copenhagen, Denmark, where she completed an adaptive reuse project and gained valuable insights about the Scandinavian design language. SAVANNAH RYE
Savannah Rye is a third-year student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Interior Architecture and Design. Savannah is from Bryant, Arkansas and is grateful for the opportunity to further her education in the Fay Jones School. Through floor plans and design concepts, Savannah is passionate about designing spaces that spread warmth and innovation. Savannah is involved in her sorority, Alpha Chi Omega, and she is on the Interior design board for the Alpha Chi house on campus. This past summer, Savannah studied the history of Rome and its architecture in Rome, Italy for 5 weeks. She learned more about classical architecture and experienced Roman culture. Savannah is currently seeking out an internship opportunity in either the residential or commercial fields where she can continue to prosper and grow within the Design occupation.

Isabella Sanchez is a third-year interior architecture and design student at the University of Arkansas, but she is originally from Dallas, Texas. With a passion for design that began at a young age, Isabella has always known that she wanted to integrate her love for aesthetics and functionality into her career. One of the highlights of Isabella's education so far has been her study abroad experience in Rome, Italy. During her semester in Rome, she immersed herself in a rich cultural and historical landscape that expanded her understanding of architectural and design principles. Mikala Sexton is a third-year Interior Architecture and Design student from Fayetteville, Arkansas, with a passion for creating inclusive, sustainable spaces that unite communities. Her summer 2024 experience in Rome, Italy, deepened her interest in adaptive reuse and sparked a love for exploring new cultures and pushing design boundaries. Audrey Swan is a third-year Interior Architecture and Design student. She grew up on a farm in the small town of Miami, Oklahoma, with nature as her backdrop. Drawn to the beauty and patterns in the natural world, she hopes to bring these concepts into the built environment. Caitlin Swanson is a third-year student from Salem, Oregon, studying Interior
Architecture and Design at the University of Arkansas' Fay Jones School. She has
a passion for designing small-scale commercial spaces that focus on material
choices and how they affect people’s experiences, particularly in retail and
hospitality settings. Skilled in Revit, Enscape, and Adobe Suite, Caitlin uses
digital renderings, drawings, and diagrams to communicate her design ideas
clearly. Known for her attention to detail, Caitlin appreciates the subtle elements that
bring depth to her work and make spaces memorable. Her perspective on design
has grown through her education and hands-on experiences, including studying

ANNA CLAIRE WALL
Anna Claire Wall is a third-year student pursuing a bachelor’s
degree in Interior Architecture and Design. She is from Mount
Pleasant, Texas, and is enthusiastic about expanding her design
knowledge. Anna Claire is actively involved on campus through her
sorority, Zeta Tau Alpha, where she has contributed to designing the
sorority house for each round of recruitment. This past summer,
she interned at Rouch Architecture in Dallas, Texas, gaining

Grace Wixson is a 3rd year Interior Architecture & Design student pursuing her bachelor’s degree at the University of Arkansas. Grace is from Rogers, Arkansas and has always found beauty and satisfaction in all forms of art, specifically design. She is enamored by aesthetics and symmetry and is eager to learn more about sustainability and design factors that boost the well-being of every individual. Parker Yelverton is a third-year student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Interior Architecture and Design. Originally from Fort Smith, Arkansas, Parker is passionate about exploring materiality in design and the sustainable methodologies that shape the built environment.
