Architecture + Design
TATE CRINER
Tatem Criner is a third-year Honors Interior Architecture + Design student at the Fay Jones School of Architecture + Design. Tatem is also pursuing a minor in General History and integrates historical principles into his design. He is heavily involved in ASID. Tatem is originally from Siloam Springs, Arkansas. Last summer, he traveled to San Jose, the capital and primary province of Costa Rica. There he gained appreciation for the architectural vernacular of tropical climates. Tatem received an Honors College study abroad grant, Governors Academic Scholarship, and the Chancellor’s Community Scholarship for an award totaling $62,800. He plans to intern for an architectural firm summer 2023. His design work displays themes of angular, geometric forms, neutral materiality, and dynamic light play.
