
JAMIE ZAKOVEC
4th Year Interior Design
Jamie is interested in retail, hospitality, and education design to explore her interests in creating spaces for both the user and surrounding community. She is currently working as an intern for RDC in Rogers, AR where she assists with the development of design and presentation documents, with an emphasis on helping the team document the design goals for each project. This past summer, Jamie held a Fellowship where she worked designing a Nature Based Pre-School that will located at Garvan Woodland Gardens in Hot Springs, AR. She has been the Treasurer for the ASID Student Chapter for the past two years. Jamie has experience working in the school’ s material library, and recently received the HFA Designing with Technology Scholarship. Her current research for the Honors College Capstone is over universal design for individuals with hearing loss where she will be identifying the acoustic and spatial problems in lecture halls for students and faculty who are deaf or hard of hearing.
